Major San Diego Marriage Strategy Event, Wed. 7/17

July 15th, 2013

Bill May Presents Positive Marriage Strategy
Diocesan Pastoral Center
Reservations Only/ Space is Limited

CCG’s San Diego Team leaders have joined forces with the Office for Social Ministry of the Diocese of San Diego for an evening with CCG President Bill May on Wednesday, July 17, to discuss the marriage crisis and where we go from here. His talk, entitled “A New Strategy Needed for Marriage,” will focus on recent Supreme Court decisions, the breakdown of marriage, and will illustrate the critical need for a new positive marriage movement.

RSVP right away as space is limited and only the first 150 registrants will be admitted.

In preparation for the event, the diocese has mailed two copies of CCG’s booklet, Getting the Marriage Conversation Right to every parish and invited 200 priests in addition to parish leaders to the event. The booklet is a practical guide for understanding the marriage issue and how to discuss it in positive ways that even children can understand and repeat without fear. As Bishop David Zubik of Pittsburgh said, “This book should be in the purses, pockets and backpacks of all Catholics as we seek to promote marriage for the common good.”

Team leaders Amy Vance and Marti Martin have worked closely with the Director of the Office for Social Ministry for the diocese, Kent Peters, and together have created a model of cooperation that can work well in other dioceses for building a positive marriage movement

The event will be held at:

Diocesan Pastoral Center
3888 Paducah Dr. San Diego, CA 92117
6:30 to 8:30 PM

The workshop is open to the public, but space is limited so please RSVP to with your name, phone number and the number of people in your party. There is no charge.
